‘Another World’ is built on the renowned Unreal Engine 5 from Epic Games, a popular toolkit utilized by numerous leading game studios. Lee also revealed that he secured a grant from the Optimism Foundation to support the development of this NFT-focused game.
Rather than selling in-game NFTs or cryptocurrency, ‘Another World’ integrates Tokenproof, enabling players to connect their crypto wallets seamlessly. This integration is presented as a QR code board within the game, allowing players to effortlessly sync their digital wallets, effectively removing a significant adoption barrier for blockchain-based games.
The digital wearables available in the game will be minted as NFTs on the Optimism Ethereum scaling network. For example, players who possess over 42 APE, the Bored Ape-themed cryptocurrency, will be rewarded with a blue ApeCoin hoodie in their in-game inventory.
