Avalanche, a blockchain network, has announced a partnership with Team SoloMid (TSM), an esports platform, and Blitz, a gaming app.
Swift, the parent company of TSM and Blitz, aims to enhance the gamer experience and revolutionize the gaming industry by leveraging Avalanche’s capabilities. The network will focus on mainstreaming web3’s first-player gaming products. According to a recent announcement, Avalanche is now TSM’s and Blitz’s exclusive blockchain partner.
As part of their payment strategy, TSM and Blitz will use Core to power user transactions and store digital assets. The Avalanche blockchain platform will be used to build Blitz, which has over 30 million subscribers, with a focus on improving user experience.
Blitz and TSM will also use $AVAX, the Avalanche platform’s native token, to power their Subnet innovation. $AVAX will be utilized as gas fees in every user transaction, as confirmed by Avalanche in a Twitter post.
FTX’s collapse has impacted Avalanche and TSM’s web3 development, posing challenges to its mainstream adoption.
Despite this setback, Swift plans to convert the Blitz collaboration Avalanche Subnet to an Elastic Subnet, enabling users to be validators. Users can stake crypto tokens and earn rewards under the proof-of-stake (PoS) validation mechanism.
