Tokyo-based blockchain game development company, double jump.tokyo, has teamed up with TSUBASA Co., Ltd. to create an NFT project based on the popular Japanese manga “Captain Tsubasa”.
The Ball is Our Friend Project, which was announced on February 7, 2023, has gained worldwide attention and has been featured in over 1,000 media outlets across North America, Europe, China, South America, and beyond. Japanese professional soccer player Shinji Kagawa is supporting the project as an ambassador.
The Tsubasa NFTs can be converted into soulbound tokens (SBTs), which can be redeemed for original goods, including a real soccer ball designed by Yoichi Takahashi. Additionally, buyers who purchase three NFTs at the same time will receive an extra NFT as a bonus.
The manga “Captain Tsubasa” has been popular among football fans since it was first published in 1981. Its popularity continues to grow, and it has been adapted into various formats, such as anime, games, and movies. With the Ball is Our Friend Project, fans can now own a piece of the series in the form of an NFT.
This project is the latest addition to double jump.tokyo’s growing portfolio of blockchain games and NFT projects. The company has been actively developing blockchain games since 2018 and has released several successful games, including My Crypto Heroes and Brave Frontier Heroes.
NFTs have been gaining popularity in recent years, and they are becoming an increasingly important part of the blockchain gaming industry. The use of NFTs in gaming allows players to own and trade unique digital assets, which can enhance the gaming experience and provide a new way for developers to monetize their games. With the Ball is Our Friend Project, double jump.tokyo and TSUBASA Co., Ltd. are pushing the boundaries of what is possible with NFTs and blockchain gaming.
