Gala Music, a subsidiary of Web3 startup Gala Games, is set to launch 3,003 NFTs on April 14. The limited-edition collection of nonfungible tokens includes an unreleased version of David Bowie’s famous “Let’s Dance.”
The track was co-produced with music producer Larry Dvoskin in 2002, and the NFT collection features Bowie-inspired artwork. The NFTs will be sold on a “pay-what-you-wish” basis, with the initial proceeds going to MusiCares, a charity offering health and human services to individuals in the music industry.
The unreleased version of “Let’s Dance” is set to give owners of each NFT exclusive access to the song. David Bowie, who passed away in 2016, had an extensive discography that included 27 studio albums, 11 live albums, four soundtracks, and 128 singles.
Although the artist is no longer alive, it appears that he has left behind an unheard track for his fans to enjoy through the upcoming NFT release.
