Electronic Arts Founder Trip Hawkins Joins Web3 Gaming

Trip Hawkins, a co-founder of Electronic Arts (EA), has entered the NFT gaming industry by joining Web3 gaming startup Games for a Living (GFAL) as co-founder and chief strategist.

The company’s aim is to develop tools that support the creation of AAA-category video games that can be integrated easily into the blockchain. The new GFAL executive stated that he will focus on building an economy in the metaverse that is similar to the real world, and believes that “Web3 is the bridge to the metaverse”.

Hawkins’ background in tech includes being one of Apple’s first employees and founding EA, which has over 13,000 employees and a valuation of $30.85 billion. GFAL is launching its native token, $GFAL, on March 9 with a starting price of €0.0038, two weeks after Hawkins joined the company.

Those interested in buying $GFAL can purchase it on Seedify, Bit2Me, and EnjinStarter, and then wait for it to be released on other exchanges or in “Elemental Raiders,” the first game that the company will release on March 13, offering rewards in the form of NFTs and other tokens.

With Hawkins’ extensive experience in the video game industry, his involvement in the NFT space could have a significant impact on the emerging crypto gaming scene.

As GFAL continues to introduce new concepts and push the boundaries of blockchain gaming, the release of its $GFAL token and “Elemental Raiders” game may attract more players and investors to the world of NFT gaming.
