FIFA, the global governing body of soccer, has unveiled a new mobile game, World Cup AI League, that will be powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Developed by Altered State Machine, a web3 AI firm, the game is currently available in open beta on Android devices, with plans to release an iOS version soon. World Cup AI League is an advanced version of the World Cup prediction game launched in November last year.
The game features brightly colored and cartoonish characters that resemble those seen in popular animated movies like Pixar. AI controls the movements of the characters, as well as setting their individual strengths and weaknesses. World Cup AI League provides players with the opportunity to play the roles of team coaches and owners. It also offers maps inspired by various international destinations, including Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Yaoundé, and Seoul.
The move to incorporate NFTs is part of FIFA’s strategy to embrace new technologies and offer unique and engaging experiences to fans. The integration of NFTs into World Cup AI League will provide a new way for fans to interact with the game and their favorite teams, further deepening their connection to the sport.
