Gucci, the luxury fashion brand, has teamed up with Yuga Labs to create a limited edition pendant for the Otherside metaverse in both physical and non-fungible token (NFT) forms. The “KodaPendant,” made of silver, will be available on April 6 for hodlers of the Koda or Vessel NFTs, which function as creatures or avatars in Otherside. The pendant has a Koda-shaped design engraved with “GG,” and the chain is 50 centimeters long. A total of 3,333 pendants will be on sale for 450 ApeCoin each, worth approximately $1,930 at current prices.
After the NFTs are purchased, the metadata associated with the Koda or Vessel NFTs will be updated with a KodaPendant trait, resulting in a physical update to the token’s associated animated character. This is the first drop of the “Otherside Relics” collection by Gucci, with no information disclosed about what comes next.
Yuga Labs, in an April 4 blog post, explained that the partnership aims to “push the boundaries at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, and gaming.” Gucci and Yuga Labs plan to collaborate extensively to offer immersive experiences at the crossroads of technology, entertainment, and fashion, according to the firm.
