Lamborghini and Animoca Brands have unveiled a groundbreaking blockchain-based initiative, introducing digital supercars for web3 gaming. In collaboration with Animoca Brands, Lamborghini is launching the Fast ForWorld platform, which will feature interoperable digital supercars, marking the luxury automaker’s first venture into blockchain technology.
Announced on October 2, Animoca described Fast ForWorld as an immersive platform where users can “experiment, play, interact, and collect digital collectibles,” rewarding them for their engagement. Scheduled to launch on November 7, the platform will allow players to buy, sell, and utilize digital car collectibles across various games in Animoca’s Motorverse, including Torque Drift 2, REVV Racing, the Motorverse Hub, and Fast ForWorld’s proprietary experience.
These digital supercars will be introduced as interoperable assets, usable across multiple gaming platforms from the onset, adding a new layer of versatility and engagement for players. Developed by Gravitaslabs, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, the platform will also include a 3D wallet for users to store and manage their digital items seamlessly.
This collaboration marks Lamborghini’s continued expansion into the web3 space. In 2022, Lamborghini partnered with NFT PRO and INVNT to release the Road Trip NFT collection, a series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that celebrated the brand’s iconic vehicles. The project ran through March 2023, offering monthly limited-time NFTs tied to specific global locations. At the time, Lamborghini’s marketing director, Christian Mastro, hailed NFTs as an “exclusive, unconventional proposal” and an innovative expression for younger generations.
Lamborghini also made headlines when the final Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé was auctioned by RM Sotheby’s, paired with a one-of-one NFT, symbolizing the merging of physical luxury and digital assets. With Fast ForWorld, Lamborghini further solidifies its place in the digital landscape, creating new ways for enthusiasts to engage with the brand through blockchain technology and the growing web3 gaming ecosystem.
