Renault Korea Motors is revving up its presence in the digital landscape with an innovative campaign targeting tech-savvy millennials. Titled “Create Your SM6,” this groundbreaking initiative combines advanced technologies with a bold exploration of the non-fungible token (NFT) market.
Participants are invited to unleash their creative prowess and design their own version of the esteemed SM6 sedan, a flagship model from the renowned French automaker. Employing an AI-based design tool called Stable Diffusion, this interactive endeavor allows drivers to transform their automotive dreams into digital reality.
To incentivize engagement, Renault is offering digital coins as a reward for these NFT masterpieces. Participants aren’t just crafting a virtual car; they are creating and submitting a unique NFT image showcasing their SM6 design.
These NFTs are not mere faceless assets; they are accompanied by descriptions generated using ChatGPT, OpenAI’s renowned chatbot. The program has garnered significant attention, with nearly 14,000 submissions already pouring in as the deadline approaches this Friday.
Renault plans to select 10 winning entries and reward the creators with digital tokens crafted from their NFT artworks. Additionally, the winners will receive Klaytn cryptocurrency, adding an extra layer of excitement to the mix. But the journey doesn’t end there, as further promotions await the finalists.
A Trilogy of Digital Initiatives
The “Create Your SM6” campaign marks the third milestone in Renault’s NFT journey. It follows last year’s “Create Your Epic Car” campaign in October and the “XM3 E-Tech Hybrid Meta Unpacked” campaign in November, which celebrated the virtual launch of the compact car.
Each campaign signifies Renault’s commitment to providing customers with diverse experiences within the realm of digital mobility. An official from Renault Korea expressed, “We will continue our digital journey for our customers in an ever-evolving Web 3.0 digital era.”
The Metaverse Connection
Notably, Renault Korea has forged strategic alliances to expand its digital footprint. Last July, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore’s Altava Group. Furthermore, the automaker joined forces with metaverse gaming developer the Sandbox in September, introducing NFTs, blockchain games, and virtual reality products.
Renault Korea’s innovative campaigns exemplify their astute comprehension of the burgeoning convergence between technology, creativity, and the automotive industry. As they gear up to advance further in the digital era, it’s evident that Renault Korea is determined to stay ahead of the curve.
