Romania to unveil institutional NFT platform with the launch of ICI D|Services on April 26, designed to enable users to manage, create, and trade NFTs.
The platform aims to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors and drive the adoption of Web3 technology nationwide. The initiative is the result of five years of research by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), which has redirected its focus on the realms of blockchain, Web3, and NFTs.
The ICI D|Services platform was developed in partnership with MultiversX, a blockchain infrastructure provider, and will also create a decentralized Domain Name System (DNS) and Top-Level Domain (TLD) ecosystem.
The project has received support from notable Romanian athletes, organizations, and institutions, including the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, world-record holder David Popovici, and the national philately organization Romfilatelia.
Five NFT collections, developed in collaboration with these groups, will be launched alongside the platform.
