Manchester City and Power of Women have collaborated on a unique NFT collection titled “Same City, Same Passion” to commemorate the upcoming Women’s Super League (WSL) Season 2023-24 kick-off.
This venture marks Manchester City’s continued exploration of the NFT space. While the club had previously partnered with OKX for a commemorative NFT collection, this new release takes a different approach, focusing on Power of Women’s distinctive and thought-provoking designs.
The NFT collection was made available for public purchase from October 1st and will remain open until October 4th at 11:59 am GMT. These digital artworks are listed on OpenSea with a mint price of 0.03 ETH, plus gas fees.
The collaboration between Power of Women and Manchester City initially debuted on International Women’s Day in March 2023 with a collection named “I am EMPOWERED.” Its primary goal was to celebrate the diversity and passion prevalent in women’s football, serving as an inspiration for the younger generation of players.
In a similar vein, World of Women had previously partnered with the renowned Spanish soccer club Barcelona to create the “Empowerment” NFT drop.
What sets this NFT collection apart is its exclusivity. As of now, a total of 102 NFTs have been minted, with a cap of 50 NFTs per wallet, as per official sources. The final supply of these digital artworks will be determined once the minting phase concludes.
With the Women’s Super League Season 2023-24 on the horizon, anticipation for the “Same City, Same Passion” NFT collection continues to grow.
