Spotify Testing “Token-Enabled Playlists” for NFT Holders

Spotify, a popular music streaming service, is testing a new service called “token-enabled playlists” that allows non-fungible token (NFT) holders to connect their wallets and listen to curated music.
The service is currently only available to token holders within specific communities, such as Fluf, Moonbirds, Kingship, and Overlord.

The playlists will be actively updated during the three-month testing period and can only be accessed by community members via a unique link.
Overlord, a Web3 gaming and media universe, tweeted that holders of its Creepz NFT project can connect their Web3 wallet on Spotify to access the project’s community-curated “Invasion” playlist.
Currently, the pilot is only available to Android users in certain countries, including the US, UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.

Spotify has previously experimented with integrating NFTs into its service by allowing select artists, such as Steve Aoki and The Wombats, to promote NFTs on their profiles in May 2022.
