The launch of the game also includes the introduction of the Gaming Graph, a feature that lets users connect their profiles on Nostr, a decentralized social network. The feature allows users to earn “badges” for their gameplay achievements, which are linked to their Nostr profiles, allowing them to establish their gaming identity across Web3 social media platforms.
According to THNDR Games, Bitcoin Blocks, along with the company’s other games, aims to onboard individuals to the bitcoin network through a fun and engaging gameplay experience with a social component that encourages competition.
Since 2019, THNDR has been developing games on Bitcoin’s Lightning Network to introduce players to the cryptocurrency in a familiar and entertaining way. In addition to Bitcoin Blocks, the company offers blockchain-based versions of classic games such as Solitaire and Snake.
