Layered Reality, a prominent figure in immersive entertainment, has unveiled a groundbreaking project: “Elvis Evolution,” utilizing cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) to resurrect the iconic rock legend Elvis Presley for live performances.
“Elvis Evolution” promises an immersive encounter for fans, blending AI technology and holographic projections derived from a treasure trove of personal photos and home videos, enabling audiences to embark on a virtual odyssey through Elvis’s life. From his Mississippi origins to the revered Graceland estate and electrifying Las Vegas performances, viewers will be transported through pivotal moments of the music icon’s journey.
Andrew McGuinness, CEO of Layered Reality, emphasized in a Reuters interview that the apex of this experience will be a “live” AI performance by Elvis, set to deliver an unforgettable crescendo.
This marks the latest instance in a trend where AI resurrects stars from the past for present-day performances. In November 2023, Universal Music Group (UMG) introduced the Beatles’ “last song,” titled “Now and Then,” leveraging AI to recreate John Lennon’s vocal track.
