IOTA introduces Login with IOTA, a unique login solution that uses self-sovereign identity (SSI) to onboard users on Web2 and Web3 applications, in partnership with Walt.id.
This solution aims to address the privacy weaknesses that traditional systems have, which strain identity and Access Management approaches. By utilizing SSI, IOTA empowers users to control the information about them that is shared with third parties, while verifiers can ensure the authenticity and trustworthiness of the information they receive.
SSI is gaining recognition in governmental projects in the EU and is expected to become the standard for exchanging identity information and credentials.
With this integration of SSI in IAM, IOTA aims to solve the problem of keeping private data in centralized silos, which can leave it vulnerable.
